Registration & Wristbands
Once you pay your camping fee or present your Friends of Faire badge, you will be issued a camping wristband. This must be worn at all times throughout the weekend.
Please Note: Camping fees do not cover daytime festival entry. You must have a separate admission ticket, season pass, Friends of Faire pass, or participant badge to enter the faire grounds.
Hours of Operation
The campground is open from Friday at 2 pm until Sunday at 5pm for paying campers
Facilities
Our campgrounds offer a rustic, primitive camping experience with no electrical hookups on-site. To keep our travelers comfortable, You will find shared water spigots to top off your supply, alongside strategically placed portable restrooms throughout the grounds.
Waste Management & Tank Maintenance

No Dumping On-Site: There is no waste dump station located within the campgrounds. If your grey or black water tanks need to be pumped down during the weekend, please arrange a service directly with Johnny on the spot 828.584.1129. Under no circumstances should tanks be emptied onto the campground soil.

Keep Restrooms Clear: Please do not drop trash, wipes, diapers, or beverage containers into the portable restrooms. These items instantly clog the service hoses and cause major maintenance delays.

Leave No Trace: Please pack up and deposit all of your garbage into the designated communal dumpsters. Let’s look out for the land and leave our campsites even cleaner than we found them!

While our animal companions are welcome to join us in the campgrounds, remember that the gates of the village remain closed to them (only certified service animals may enter the festival grounds). To ensure a safe environment for all travelers, please observe the following rules:

Leash Laws: All pets must be kept on a secure leash at all times unless they are safely resting inside a crate or kennel. Animals found roaming free risk being collected by local animal control.

Campground Cleanliness: Always carry waste bags when walking your animal and clean up after them immediately. Let's keep the paths clean for everyone.

Health Records: Please keep copies of your pet's up-to-date vaccination and medical records on hand at your campsite.

While You are at the Festival: When you head into the faire, your pet must be secured in a kennel placed in a shaded, weather-sheltered area.

Barking & Noise: Out of respect for your neighbors, keep noise to a minimum. If a pet barks or makes excessive noise continuously, you may be required to find alternative boarding.

Behavior & Safety: Aggressive behavior from animals (or their handlers) will not be tolerated. Any pet showing aggression toward another guest must be removed from the campgrounds immediately.
Campsite Stewardship & Village Peace

To maintain the beauty of our forest and ensure a harmonious weekend for all travelers, please abide by these strict campsite ordinances:

Campground Cleansing: Upon your departure, ensure your campsite is entirely clear of debris. All garbage must be packed out or placed inside the designated communal dumpsters—never leave trash near the portable restrooms. Please check the signage on the bins to ensure you are sorting your waste correctly.

Household Waste Only: The campground dumpsters are strictly reserved for standard household garbage. Large items, broken gear, furniture, or wooden pallets may not be thrown in them. If you need assistance disposing of a bulky item, please contact the guard shack.

Keep the King's Roads Clear: Do not pitch tents, pitch camp, or park vehicles on any gravel access roads or packed dirt pathways. These are vital thoroughfares for your fellow travelers; blocking them is strictly prohibited. Keep an eye out for the access road signs.

Vehicle Restrictions: Motorized or wheeled transport—including vehicles, e-bikes, golf carts, and similar transit—may only be driven when actively arriving at or departing from your campsite. Joyriding through the campgrounds is not permitted.

Reserved Lands: Please do not pitch your tent within the designated Reserved Campground areas unless you have been explicitly invited by a member of those specific clans or groups. These boundaries are clearly marked.

Fire Safety: Open ground fires are strictly forbidden. All campfires must be safely contained within an elevated metal fire pit equipped with a mesh spark screen. Ensure a 3-foot perimeter around your fire pit is entirely cleared of leaves and brush, and keep a functional fire extinguisher immediately on hand.

Contraband & Conduct: Illegal substances, fireworks, firearms, and underage drinking are strictly prohibited on the festival grounds.

The One-Strike Rule: Rowdy behavior, public intoxication, hostility, or violence will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Our security team enforces a strict "One Strike Rule," and disruptive guests will be immediately escorted from the property.
